Terms of Service

Validator, a product of Bonfire Revenue Inc.

Effective Date: August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Bonfire Revenue Inc. ("Bonfire Revenue," "we," "us," "our"), a corporation with its principal place of business at 8977 S 1300 W PMB #2046, West Jordan, Utah 84088, United States.

They govern your use of Validator (the "Service") — our browser extension, our web application, and our bulk CSV validation tools — regardless of which of our storefronts you signed up through.

By creating an account, installing the extension, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

Validator reads contact information — email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses — from a record you are already viewing in your browser, or from a CSV file you upload, and checks each one against third-party verification providers. It returns a status for each field so you can correct bad records before you send statements, invoices, or appointment reminders.

Validator is a data quality tool. It is not a communications platform, a mailing service, or a system of record.

2. Your account and your API key

When you subscribe, we issue you an API key. That key authenticates every request the Service makes on your behalf, and it is the only credential we use.

You are responsible for keeping your key confidential and for all activity that occurs under it. Do not post it publicly, embed it in client-side code you distribute, or share it outside your organization. If you believe your key has been exposed, contact us and we will issue a replacement.

We store only a SHA-256 hash of your key. We cannot recover a lost key — we can only issue a new one.

3. Seats and organizational use

Each plan includes a number of permitted users. You may share your key within the organization that holds the subscription, up to that number. You may not share it with, sell it to, or operate it on behalf of a separate business.

4. Plans, billing and renewal

  • Plans, prices, billing intervals and monthly validation allowances are listed on our pricing page and in your billing portal. They are part of these Terms by reference.
  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Prices exclude any applicable taxes, which are added at checkout where required.
  • We may change prices. If we do, we will give you notice before the change takes effect on your subscription, and you may cancel before it does.

5. Validation allowance

Each plan includes a set number of validations per billing period. One validated field — one email, one phone number, or one address — is one validation. Blank fields are skipped and are not counted.

Your allowance resets at the start of each billing period. Unused validations do not carry over. When you reach your allowance, validation stops until the period resets or you move to a larger plan.

6. Free plan

We offer a free plan with a limited monthly allowance. A free plan is a real subscription at $0, which means you can move to a paid plan — or cancel entirely — from the same billing portal as everyone else.

We may change or discontinue the free plan at any time, with notice to active free accounts.

7. Referral credits

If we operate a referral programme, the terms shown to you inside the Service at the time you refer someone are the terms that apply. Credits and allowance increases are granted only for genuine referrals of new customers. We may withhold or reverse credit for self-referral, duplicate accounts, or any attempt to manufacture referrals, and we may end the programme at any time without affecting credit already granted.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep access until then, and your account then moves to the free plan rather than being deleted.

Fees already paid are not refundable, in whole or in part, except where required by law or where we choose to make an exception at our discretion. We do not pro-rate partial periods.

9. What we do not promise about results

This section matters, so it is written plainly.

Validation results are signals, not guarantees. They reflect what our providers could determine at the moment of the check. An address marked verified can still fail to receive mail. An email marked valid can still bounce. A phone number marked reachable can still be disconnected the following day.

You are responsible for deciding what to do with a result. Do not treat a Validator status as confirmation of identity, as proof of consent to contact someone, or as a substitute for your own records.

10. Your data, and your obligations for it

The contact data you validate is yours. You keep all rights to it. You grant us only the limited licence needed to transmit it to our verification providers and return the result to you — nothing more.

We do not store the contact data you validate. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we do and do not retain.

You are responsible for:

  • having the legal right to process the contact data you submit;
  • complying with every law that applies to you, including privacy, data protection, telemarketing and anti-spam law; and
  • your own regulatory obligations.

If you are a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, you are responsible for determining whether your use of the Service is permitted under your own compliance program, and for putting any required agreement in place with us before submitting protected health information. Do not assume the Service is covered.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service on any system you are not authorized to access;
  • use validation results to send unsolicited bulk messages, or for any purpose prohibited by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product;
  • attempt to circumvent your allowance, seat count, or plan limits;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source from the Service, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law; or
  • interfere with the Service's operation, or use it in a way that degrades it for others.

12. Third-party providers

The Service depends on third-party verification and infrastructure providers. Their availability, accuracy and terms are outside our control, and their failure or change may affect the Service. We may add, remove or replace providers at any time.

13. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, interface, and documentation, remains the property of Bonfire Revenue Inc. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service while your subscription is active. No other rights are granted.

14. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not commit to any particular uptime. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, for provider outages, or for reasons outside our control.

15. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of validation results.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, however caused.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is so, they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bonfire Revenue Inc. and its officers, directors and employees from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your contact data, or your breach of these Terms or of any law.

18. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your payment fails and is not cured, or if we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription.

Sections 9, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20 survive termination.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you — by email, or by a notice inside the Service — before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that point means you accept the updated Terms. The "Effective Date" above always reflects the current version.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Bonfire Revenue Inc. agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

21. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Communications and SMS consent

By submitting a form on our websites, you opt in and authorize Bonfire Revenue Inc. to send communications to the phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses you have provided, or that are identified under your assignment through resources such as the NPPES registry. Communications may include informative content, account alerts, and marketing solicitations by email, phone call, or mail.

SMS/MMS consent. By explicitly checking the SMS opt-in box during registration, you additionally consent to receive SMS and MMS text messages from Bonfire Revenue Inc. regarding service updates and promotional content. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

Privacy restriction. Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with, sold to, or delegated to any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
